Selecting a reporter is different from delegating to a validator. Here are some important things to remember when deciding which reporter to select:

• One reporter, many validators. You may delegate to any number of validators, but one account can only select one reporter at a time. If you have a lot of TRB to stake, we recommend using multiple accounts for selecting multiple reporters to reduce the risks of centralization and lost funds due to the reporter's operational error.
• Switching penalty. Changing you reporter selection is not free unless the reporter has been inactive for more than 21 days. If your current reporter is actively reporting, you forfeit 21 days worth of rewards after switching. This is a security precaution to prevent bridge manipulation.
• Power aggregation. A reporter’s power is the sum of all delegations to their validators. Any future delegation adds to that reporter’s total, regardless of which validator you choose.
• Reporter's must be Live!: You don't want to choose just any reporter. Tellor is fully public and trustless for who can be a reporter, and it is possible to accidentally select a reporter who is not actually reporting properly and earning tokens.
